August 2016

New pens coming in for August, the theme is Twist ballpoints. These seem to be more popular than the Gel roller balls, whether it's the ink cartridge, or the instant, twist to use style? I will be getting some styles that I haven't offered before. Not a lot of info at this point until I get them in hand ... as pictured in the thumbnail order below: Large body (15mm dia.) In both Black Lacquer & Stainless Steel. This pen should have some weight to it. Next is the Black Grid Meisterstuck Twist Style (Baoer N.79) I've had these before, in the black & adding to that the Stainless, which contrasts the black grid, on the black body it's subtle. Jinhao Y01 in twist is next, A distinct clip that continues through the top finale of the pen, an attractive model. The contrasting Silver & Black Jinhao. Described as Leatherette & appears to have stitching? Need to wait on that to comment. The last is a red barrel Meisterstuck. Traditional style in a bright body.

Make your opinion count! Online instant poll: BAOER #388 New Colours

A very popular pen, no surprises there, is the Baoer #388. It's a dead-ringer for a Parker Sonnet and so is a great all-round daily writer. The BAOER fountain pen nib is smooth and responsive, while the rollerball gel offers a similar smooth performance on jobs that include forms and other modern tasks invented after the age of the fountain pen ... this classic pen design has been available in black and in Stainless steel. Now there are three layered colour choices. Black with either red, green or blue. Choice is always a great thing. I note that the new launch of these colours has pushed the price of the pens up however. So I am not leaping on them until I actually get some interest. After all it's cosmetics. Any one of these pens is going to perform as well as the others. CLICK on the poll link above and put your opinion to the task.
