TASMAN BLUE Ink Cartridge Review/Test

There are a lot of blue inks, this Tasman Blue fits into the turquoise camp. You get that hint of green in the blue base. As this dries the teal will show more. It also show up in the shading the most. I know computer screens will negate green, saturating blues and reds. The green is there in this ink. The smear blot section is full of complex colours in it's shading. This shows up in the scrub as well. Halo outlines. Next to each other the Tasman Blue and the Pacific Blue look nothing alike and each are impressive how complex and interesting they evoke. While the Tasman is a lighter colour, it's actually wetter in flow than the darker toned Pacific?

By the time I did the Chromatography test, I was quite impressed with this ink, and so a little perplexed at the strip results. I expected to see some green dye, but it's almost invisible and only at the very top of the flow is there any contrast in the deeper blue. This has to be the origin of the halo in the text and other line example. Currently I have three choices of blue in my auction offers. This mid to light Tasman. The medium Pacifc and the absolutely dark Hero Blue-Black 0028. Each one of these impress me and I have been disappointed in the past by blue inks. I like all three of these and I am glad they are all, quite unique.

ABOUT THE INK and International Short Cartridges

These inks are acid free & archival safe. They dry quickly & are only slightly water resistant. (You trade water resistance with a dye that is easy to clean and water-based.) Dyes are non-toxic, pH neutral & Light-fast. All the ink colours are very kind to pens and easy to clean after use. They will store up to three years without any problems. The ink cartridge are European.

These international Short Cartridges are about 38mm long & 8mm in diameter. Most pen bodies will hold one inserted into the pen feeder/section and then one extra spare reversed behind that in the tail of the pen's body.

The short carts fit all the pens I sell which have removable converter pumps. (A long International Cartridge is about the same length as an ink converter. While it holds more, you can't store a spare like with the short.)
